Here we are in a stunning South Yarra home with a lovely couple from New Zealand. Their home is architecturally designed to the last millimetre, it feels great, modern, open and the kitchen is beautiful so what are we doing here?
This client is an amazing cook and needed a large, open plan kitchen to entertain. When not entertaining, the kitchen caters for her husband, two boys, two dogs and the cat! We had this beautiful space to play with but there is a structural post central to the space. It wouldn’t be any fun if it was easy! Enter the Pepper Design Team.
When Pepper Design were commissioned to build a kitchen for this amazing house in Toorak we new it had to be special. The Architect presented us with a stunning curved ceiling and three walls of glass so all notions of a typical kitchen design went out the window and the “Cube” concept was born.
The owners of this beautiful home came to Pepper Design with a challenge. They loved everything about their existing house except for the kitchen which was “pushed back into the corner” and felt small by comparison to their large open plan space. They signed up for our design service and our team went to work!
With a new grandchild arriving and more on the way these clients had a simple brief for our team “We need a bigger kitchen!” It was obvious at the first site inspection that the existing kitchen was inadequate for such a grand house and that in contrast the dining space was huge so we swapped them over. Such trusting clients are delightful!
This client exemplifies everything we love about Pepper Design – we now consider them to be good friends! We manufactured two beautiful vanities for this couple in 2006 but the kitchen was put on hold. Fast-forward to 2015 and the brief turned into a kitchen, laundry, wardrobe, bar area, entertainment units and all the appliances.
This client came along to one of our Gaggenau cooking demonstrations where we were able to find out what they want the kitchen to do. They sought a contemporary kitchen characterised by a classic elegance to offset the gloss minimalism of the appliances. Plenty of firepower was required from the appliances so it had to be Gaggenau!
This beachfront house in Aspendale makes a bold statement with it’s stunning curved roofline. Adjacent to the custom kitchen with Gaggenau appliances the dining area offers spectacular views and is easily strong enough to handle the bold choice of materials and colours. The client approached us for TEAM7 furniture, specifically this stunning Flaye table and Girado chairs which compliment the curves of the house perfectly.
The owners of this beautiful Victorian house in Malvern wanted something quite special. Pepper Design designed and installed their last kitchen in St Kilda so we had previously gained their trust and were left with an open brief.
This penthouse apartment is located in the heart of Albert Park village and offers views of the Melbourne City skyline. Pepper Design was commissioned to design a kitchen worthy of the open plan living/dining/kitchen zone – we jumped at the chance!
This Poggenpohl kitchen is the centrepiece of this Penthouse on St Kilda Road. Pepper Design worked hand-in-hand with the architect to create this masterpiece in one of Melbourne’s most desirable addresses.
